Terremoto is a forward-thinking, innovative, California-based landscape design studio with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles. In this conversation, we get to know the people behind the company, their intuitive and inspired approach to design, and the importance of keeping things simple while utilizing native and regionally appropriate plants as well as encouraging composting. We also discuss their efforts in restoration ecology through their pilot project Test Plot as well as their views on the future of gardening.

Dr. Cari Jacobson, a holistic physician based in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to being a licensed Chiropractor, she supplements her practice with dozens of additional cutting-edge techniques to support people’s health.

Our conversation covers a wide range of interesting topics including energy, environments, the power of perception, pollution, illness and immune systems, the importance of good quality water, and how we can start to make a change in our own lives through practical, real world, easily doable action steps.

For this first episode, I wanted to introduce the overall vision for this podcast. My hope is to start a conversation, widen my exposure to industry professionals like researchers, designers, architects, urban planners, and people who may not be any of those things, but are just plain interested in learning how we can design our way into a healthier planet.
