Terremoto is a forward-thinking, innovative, California-based landscape design studio with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles. In this conversation, we get to know the people behind the company, their intuitive and inspired approach to design, and the importance of keeping things simple while utilizing native and regionally appropriate plants as well as encouraging composting. We also discuss their efforts in restoration ecology through their pilot project Test Plot as well as their views on the future of gardening.

For this first episode, I wanted to introduce the overall vision for this podcast. My hope is to start a conversation, widen my exposure to industry professionals like researchers, designers, architects, urban planners, and people who may not be any of those things, but are just plain interested in learning how we can design our way into a healthier planet.
When planned and placed well, pocket parks can have a massive impact on immediately surrounding communities in relation to their small footprint by serving a multitude of purposes, and this location is a shining example.
